Senior Structural Engineer

We are seeking structural engineers with a minimum of 5 years of experience working with a wide variety of materials and project types. Your experience should be in the structural engineering field and demonstrate technical proficiency and dedication to producing high quality design documents while striving to meet time-sensitive schedules. The ideal candidate is a team player who enjoys interacting with clients and values communication. This position is for in-person work at our San Carlos, CA office. We will consider candidates based in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop drawings and calculations for construction documents and coordination purposes.

  • Oversee and manage the creation of construction documents for project review and submittal.

  • Review drawings and calculations of junior engineering staff.

  • Collaborate with internal and external design team members

  • Conduct Structural Observation site visits in the SF Bay area.

  • Produce reports and documentation of site visits as needed.

Education and Experience:

  • 5+ years of work experience in structural engineering design.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited four-year college.

  • PE licensed

  • Demonstrated experience in the design of wood, steel, masonry, and concrete structures

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of standard structural analysis software such as: SAP2000, RISA2D, RISA3D, and ENERCALC.

  • Strong Knowledge of office productivity software such as Word, Excel, and PDF editing.

  • Strong knowledge of AutoCAD and REVIT.

  • Command of code and design requirements of wood, steel, masonry, and concrete structures

  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem solving skills

Structural Design Engineer

We are seeking engineers that are dedicated to producing high quality design work in a wide range of materials and project types. The ideal candidate is a team player who is creative and energetic with an intuitive design and project management sensibility. This position is for in-person work at our San Carlos, CA office. We will consider candidates based in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop drawings and calculations for construction documents and coordination purposes.

  • Create design documents for project review and submittal.

  • Review and understand red-line mark-ups from senior engineering staff.

  • Read and understand architectural and construction documents.

  • Structural Observation site visits in the SF Bay area.

Education and Experience:

  • 0 - 5 years of work experience in structural engineering design.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited four-year college.

  • EIT license a plus for recently graduated candidates

  • PE license a plus for candidates with 2+ years experience

  • Consideration will be given based on experience.

Structural Engineering Intern

We are seeking an intern to assist our engineering team in a wide variety or project including: residential, commercial, industrial, shoring and retaining structures, as well as atypical projects such as temporary structures for the entertainment industry. Our projects are diverse and the candidate can gain exposure to real world solutions on a variety or project types. This position is for an in-person internship at our San Carlos, CA office for a candidate located in the Bay Area.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist engineers in the design of residential, commercial, industrial, and entertainment projects in the S.F. Bay Area.

  • Hands on experience preparing structural calculations, plans, and detailing.

  • Learn and apply standard engineering practices.

  • On-site experience during site visits for various types of construction.

Education and Experience:

  • Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or Structural Engineering curriculum at an accredited four-year college.

  • Completed coursework in: wood design, steel design, and concrete design.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD. Knowledge of REVIT a plus.

  • Knowledge of Word, Excel, and PDF editing required.
